Alpha is given away for free because we believe the church can be the catalyst for change and we want to remove the barriers to that being possible. Church leaders across South Africa can access Alpha’s talks and training resources online, equipping them to run Alpha effectively. When this happens, the church provides more opportunities for people to encounter Jesus.
Alpha is entirely funded by donations from people, like you, who are passionate about evangelism.

What will my gift go towards?
Your generosity will help us provide excellent resources for churches to share the gospel effectively, creating life-changing experiences for guests and transforming church communities across South Africa.
Creating new content
Creating new content and training for church leaders, hosts and helpers, to support churches running Alpha online. This means translation into even more languages, like the Alpha Film Series that has recently been translated into Swahili, and new street interviews filmed in South Africa.
Training and equipping leaders
Equipping Alpha staff to engage with, and provide training opportunities for, churches to run Alpha Online effectively. This extends to local pastors and volunteers – to train, support, encourage and pray for them.
Increasing organisational capacity
Our work is supported by the ministry and operational teams, alongside our marketing and communications team, to ensure the best stewardship of our people and resources. This increases our capacity and effectiveness in serving the church digitally and in-person.
